Pet: Penelope

All is well with Ms. Penelope today. No problems with food, and she had eaten a bit of kibble. Clearly the realtor had been there – a flyer was on the counter, and the door to the basement was partially closed – and I got the feeling Penelope kind of liked the fact that she is getting visitors other than me! She is definitely in a very social mood. She again ate some wet food while I was there, and I refilled the treat ball, which she empties faithfully each day. Safe travels home – I bet she will have a let to tell you when you get back!

Penelope eating kibble

Penelope is back to not eating much kibble but whatever she eats she is keeping down, so I gave her tiny bites of wet food again while I was there in hopes this formula will keep working! She is very friendly and sweet – lots of rubbing against my legs and attempting to do kitty somersaults. I'm sure she just likes me, and it has nothing to do with the fact that I feed her! She'll be glad to have her person back, but in the meantime she's doing just fine.

Today almost half of the kibble was gone from the dish! And there was no evidence that Penelope had "lost" her dinner, so I guess she must be keeping it down. Maybe having a bit of wet food helped calm her stomach. Anyway, I repeated the formula from yesterday – small bites of wet food while I was there, and I topped off the dish of kibble. I also gave her a new treat toy (I found the other one in the dining room) so she can chase that around if she gets bored. She's doing great!

It didn't look like Penelope had eaten any kibble at all, although I did find a few more piles of thrown-up food so maybe the realtor is feeding her? I finally gave her a little bit of canned food just so I know she's getting some nutrition, and she kept that down fine, at least as long as I was there. She seems to have plenty of energy and is very friendly and talkative! I put down one of those treat balls yesterday and today I couldn't find it anywhere, so I guess she's been playing on her own.

Penelope greeted me at the door meowing hello, and led me straight to the kitchen! She had definitely eaten some of her kibble, but I found a few little piles in the basement so I'm not sure how much of it she kept down. I refilled her dish and gave her a few kitty treats – she liked the treats but didn't show much interest in the kibble! I'm hoping she will do some munching overnight. Meanwhile she is doing her usual crazy thing of hopping up the minute I turn the sink on to get some extra-special tap water! So silly. Hope you are surviving okay in the storm – it's sunny and cold here, and Penelope has lots of sunbeams to nap in!
