Pet: Blue

Our afternoon walk today coincided with kids getting off the school bus on 34th and Lincoln, and Blue did the cutest thing: A woman across the street from us was holding out her arms and her two kids came running down the sidewalk and into her arms for a big hug. Blue was SO excited! He watched and wagged his tail and if I hadn't stopped him he would totally have run across the street to get a hug himself. When you get home, be sure to throw your arms open wide, and see what he does! We had good walks both morning and afternoon, although it is very windy here so the squirrel sightings were down – I guess they don't like to cling to branches that are whipping wildly back and forth. Blue seems fine with stalking imaginary squirrels when the real kind aren't available, however, so I think he had fun. I had a great time hanging out with him, as usual!

Your new "Guarded by Attack Weimaraner" notice is very impressive! At least until the Attack Weimaraner comes to the door with a goofy grin and wagging tail. But I didn't want to hurt his feelings so I told him was very fierce! We had a good walk, mostly dry, with enough squirrels to keep Blue's eyes and nose up and away from any potential rat caves. It rained on us for about the last half block, but Blue seemed to feel it was enough to get his head SO WET that he needed extensive toweling off (only on his head, though – he thought his feet were fine.) He looked pleased when I told him I would see him in the morning – or maybe he was just hoping for one last treat before I left!
